CIEH (NEW) Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
Employers are responsible for
providing safe and healthy workplace conditions and the right systems
and methods for safe activities. But employees also have a vital part to
play in the equation. They need the right knowledge and the right
attitude which demands proper training in the basics of health and
safety, as well as specific training for individual tasks.

The CIEH develops a wide range of
vocationally related qualifications accredited within the national
qualifications framework at various skill levels. Level 2 is aimed at those in
the workplace who participate in activities related to the subject area. In the
case of health and safety safety, that means every employee.
CIEH qualifications are supported by rigorous quality assurance procedures and
are accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, as well as
addressing specific sector needs with the input of Sector Skills Councils.
