Manual Handling Courses
This course introduces the risks associated with moving and handling. It teaches safer lifting and carrying techniques in a wide variety of environments and conditions.
Participants will learn how to risk assess and move objects safely, so as to reduce manual handling risks.
The course covers related legislation, along with the associated roles and responsibilities. Also covered are spinal anatomy, structure and function; causes of back pain and other handling related injuries; risk assessments; safer lifting techniques and team handling.
Typical duration is 4 hours and a certificate of attendance is issued, which is valid for 3 years
