Meet the team...
|
Shaun
Our in-house
instructor trainer, brings a broad teaching, instructional and
managerial background. This is combined with nearly 30 years of
frontline emergency service experience with specialised skills in
dynamic emergency risk assessment and management.
Shaun is a qualified First Aid Trainer, a DAN Instructor, and a qualified PADI Staff Instructor with qualifications in excess of 20
specialised dive disciplines; having worked not just in the UK, but
in Europe and the Middle East. He is also a qualified Dive Industry
Technician and holds the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
Professional Trainers Certificate.
Other teaching/instructing
experience includes being a qualified Manual Handling Instructor,
Breathing Apparatus Instructor, an EFL teacher (since 1990), also
a TUC course tutor at UKC,
Mid Kent College, West
Kent College and Thanet College and the WEA London. Also a Basic
Skills Linkup Supporter.
Shaun is the
Company's Health and Safety co-ordinator, holding the Institution of
Occupational Safety and Health NEBOSH National General Cert.

Bob
Bob has worked with the emergency
services since 1984, for both the local authority and the
Ministry of Defence as well as with the US Air Force and NASA and UK
Special Forces.
He has vast experience in all
types of fire and first aid training, including emergency incident
command, breathing apparatus, hazardous materials, heli-decks, road
traffic crash rescue and aircraft crash rescue techniques.
He also has specialised
experience in such fields as Risk Assessment, Conflict Management
and Physical Restraint. He has worked in the UK and Europe
(including the former Yugoslavia).
Bob is a qualified First Aid Instructor, teaching First Aid at Work, Care for
Children and Basic First Aid courses. He is also a Road
Traffic Accident Instructor, a Breathing
Apparatus Instructor, a Manual Handling Instructor and a Flash
Over/Backdraught Instructor,
Bob is the Company's Fire Safety
Training co-ordinator.

Karin
The lynch pin of
our effective team, Karin has not only a wealth of teaching
experience, but excellent organisational skills to keep everything on
track as our Company Secretary.
Karin is a First
Aid Instructor, covering Care for Children and
Basic
First Aid courses (Primary/Secondary Care).
She is also a
qualified EFL teacher (since 1989) and
a Basic Skills Linkup
Supporter.
She is also
the Company's Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection co-ordinator,
and in her free-time enjoys her role as a Justice of the Peace. |

Dawn
Dawn
has a very broad supervisory and management background , including
training and mentoring staff in an office based environments for
(amongst others) a Children’s Charity, Kent County Constabulary and Kent
Adult Education. She also brings workplace experience in Health & Safety
as well as First Aid.
Dawn is a First
Aid Instructor, covering First Aid at Work, Care for Children and
Basic First Aid courses
(Primary/Secondary Care).
Away
from work Dawn enjoys reading, walking and scuba diving, in which she
holds the rating of Master Scuba Diver.

Chris
Chris is
a City & Guilds Skills Trainer and Assessor and
another of our instructors, covering First Aid at Work, Care for Children,
Basic First Aid courses
(Primary/Secondary Care) as well as our range of fire related courses.
He brings a wealth of experience
to the team, including 24 years in the Royal Navy as an aircraft
handler, trained in aircraft crash fire-fighting, ship fire-fighting and
domestic fire-fighting. He completed his naval career at the Defence
Fire Services Establishment at RAF Manston, before changing uniforms to
the Police, and then the Prison Service.
Like others in the team, in his
spare time Chris also enjoys Scuba diving, holding the Master Scuba
Diver rating. |
